Service issues recently purchased vehicle

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Purchase Use vehicle over a week ago. While riding with salesman named George on a test drive car made slight grinding noise.

He informed me no worries. All their vehicles go through 172 point safety check. I requested a copy several times never received one before I left dealership. Drove Car 100 miles back home grinding noise got louder had to pull over.

Luckily I made it home. Took Car to well reputable certified auto mechanic shop Monday morning costs me $80. Found out rear Differential was no good and rear was shocks was leaking fluid and no good. Mechanic was shocked him self as to how they did not notice these repair issues if they truly did a safety inspection check.

Informed dealership Monday evening spoke with salesman who sold me car. He gave me a hard time said I bought car as is and that I had bought aftermarket Warranty and they will pay for it. I explained to him that's not how it work Differential don't go out overnight and they would not pay for it. I informed him they do advertise a free 3 months or 3000 miles Power Train Warranty on all pre owned vehicles on their website.

He ignored that hung up phone. I called back he wouldn't speak to me. I spoke with another salesman asked for General Manager number or if he would forward my information to him said he would. I called their Managing ownership twice explained situation to them as well.

Said they would have General Manager contact me.

To this day no one has contacted me or showed no interest in my problem. I traded my car in, so now I have no transportation a car I can't drive with a $4000 repair Bill.

User's recommendation: Always have your used vehicle inspected by a well reputable certified auto mechanic shop. Don't take Salesman or dealership at thir word just because of Nam and size of compny.

BAD Service and they do not answer their phones.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I did not buy my F250 from them, however, they are close to my house and I thought I would try their service department. I dropped it off and they kept it for 3 weeks.

Because it was fairly new, they said it was covered with warranty. I drove it another 2 weeks and the check engine light came on. This time, they kept it for a day and indicated that the first time the problem was not fixed but it should be now. I have had it for a week and the check engine light came back on.

I tried to call them for 3 days and no one answers the phone up there. I did get in touch with the parts department and they said I have to talk to service.

I cannot even get a secretary to answer. The service here is really bad and I will not take it back for anything and recommend that everyone else not to waist your time with this dealership.

Stay away from this place! If I could give minus stars I would. Our experience is that they are only interested in ripping you off. CHECK THE REVIEWS FOR THIS PLACE. I should Have. BBB- Unaccredited because of unresolved complaints. Sold us a Lemon and then wouldn't refund the down payment. Shane Maury tried to enforce the "contract." Some of their employees are not honest, rude, uncooperative, and used delay and intimidation to force you to do what they want.

Run away fast !!

Applied online. A month later received call from Jorge (alias) Alverez. Explained my circumstance and necessitated requirement to get a deal approved on a car prior to my travel to the dealership. It was not close to home. Jorge persistently assured me of a deal. I pressed! In response to his repeated calls, over the course of several days, a necessitated done deal before going to dealership. I spoke to finance department and cleared us their questions. Jorge continues to assure a deal. On the day I finally drove to meet Jorge (a young , inexperienced kid...) , I was introduced to Jorges manager, Ray, who simply said how can I help you?. Well, I had already filled out two finance apps, spoken to finance, and provided ALL my information to Jorge , who continuously assured a done deal. At my visit , reportedly only to require 10 minutes of my time, to deliver my DL, and SS for identification verification, I would pick up keys to new car and drive away. Well, suddenly Ray reported hurdles that completely reversed the reported done deal by Jorge and finance department. I did walk away from the dealership and promised my review. You will be dealing with sleazy salesman, under conditions of sleazy and deceitful practices at this dealership. Just know that before you go.

Worst used car purchase

Upon our purchase of the 2017 Ford Explorer on June 30th with the used salesman James XXX things seem to have gone downhill after my agreement of the price. 1.Never received a card from anyone at the dealership. James wrote on a card stock his phone number. 2.He and his manager were suppose to call to schedule the (Promised) rim repair 7/2/18 . Have not received a call. 3.During the initial little scratch sheet of the agreed upon price he dropped the price a few hundred on the car then came back showing me “Installed options” Tinted windows, wheel locks, Nitrogen in the tires” I’ve asked quite a few times for their internal service order for those items and have not received any response. (I strongly feel these items were already on the car. I could call the previous owner since their name is in the glove box to ask.) These were like $1200 in installed options and he dropped it a few hundred) I still want to see that original agreement sheet with my initials. They just got the car in and was changing the oil. 4.We then get to the finance department and he of course he has to show us all the additional warranty etc. that we declined repeatedly. For some reason he said the number we agreed upon with the sales manager he could do, and will throw in the Protective spray for the clear coat at $2.00. Something just did not add up with they either because he said it was free. 5.Our contracts show no signatures from your staff. Probably the worst experience in 50 years buying a car or at the least very shady.

Worst dealership ever!!! Not enough staff to accommodate clientele. My car has been there somce the 31st of march it is now the 11th of april and my car is still there anna and Steve with the service department are rude. Anna was suppose to call me on april 2 as she told me my car was next in line to see what was wrong!! She never called back so i called april 3rd and spoke with steve and he said the mechanic is at lunch they will call me back well noone called me back so i called back two hours later anna then said the mechanic had a accident so he had to leave . So you telling me there is only one mechanic fixing on all the vehicles in your dealership. I also been asking for a loner vehicle and they are telling me they dont have one how can you not have one for 11 days!!! So Wednesday I called my warranty company as the dealership is horrible at communicating and to follow up with anything warranty said the dealership had just called them with the claim at 11:31am and that they will be sending a inspector out there in the next 24-48 hours anna gave them a phone number for the inspector to contact them at before they show Thursday comes the inspector calls the number anna provided as they have to call a hour before they show he called at 11:00am to be there at noon however no answer or callback so i found this out by contacting warrenty because speaking with anna she was saying the same thing i havent heard anything they havent called so Friday the inspector had to just show up however there was no technician to assist the inspector only the advisors and that is unacceptable as they are not mechanics so the inspector left and it left my claim in jeopardy... Saturday comes and Sundays comes then it’s Monday Tuesday claim was approved I called them to tell them no follow up I had to call them here it is Wednesday and anna still hasnt called the warranty to give the ok to ship the part so they can get it tomorrow and my car can get fix!!!! Please to leave a email to contact or a phone number i dont want anybody to ever have to go through this ever!!! Ive contacted corporate just now and Samantha Chatman with channel 5 news !!!! I have no car!!!!!

Worst car buying experience ever

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Shawn Leggett is a complete scam artist. Just shady. He defines the stereotypical shady car salesmen. My friend and I️ went to this dealership, this was our first buying experience, my friend researched all of the possible tips and tricks of car buying, and after going to 12 different dealerships, this was the dirtiest experience any consumer can possibly go through. In short, My friend negotiated the price of the car to where he wanted it and then the shadiness started to unfold. As soon as my friend brought up that he was already preapproved for a particular interest rate after they tried to offer him a ridiculous rate, this Shawn Leggett slim bag tries to show him a search that he did online to try and prove that my friend was lying about his pre approval, THEN, offered my friend zero percent interest and so my friend signed the paperwork after we both went through and read every detail, and thought we had a deal, well get this, he calls 10 days later to say that he messed up and tried to jack up the interest rate and negate the original deal. Go figure, sounds like the old "yoyo, spot delivery" scam. So we drove up there and complained and asked for the rebates that they took away to give my friend the zero interest in the first place and they refused and Shawn Leggett said "He has us right where he wants us, I'm out, unwind the deal" DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. THEY WILL TRY TO SCREW YOU ANY WAY THEY CAN. Shawn Leggett is gonna be a household name by the time we get done leaving reviews. He defines everything wrong with shady car salesmen. Bought car dec 4, returned dec 14

Extremely Poor Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been a loyal customer and brand advocate of Ford for over 5 years, but recently I encountered some extremely poor customer service at Westway Ford. After getting my car serviced this past weekend for a new battery, I was blatantly lied to over the phone by multiple service advisors that my car was “being diagnosed” and that it would be available to pick up soon. I then get a call that they cannot find my car on the dealership lot. I went 2+ days without my vehicle and it was all due to their incompetence and neglect. The poor service I received is unacceptable and I will never step foot in this dealership again.

Misdiagnosed Repair and won't refund my money

Took my mustang in for repair in Dec. 2016 it was diagnosed with a failed PCM. They replaced the part and all was good, NOT! 10 days later it was back in their shop and diagnosed with a defective PCM so it was replaced. Intermittently the car has had the same exact problem. After 10 months of their inability to fix the problem and avoiding the refund question the car was taken to another Ford dealership where it was diagnosed with a bad CCRM. Replaced the CCRM and the car runs great. Requested a refund from WestWay Ford and they won't even respond. Filed a BBB complaint so we will see.

My truck was in the dealer for a warranty repair. There was a situation that happened at the dealership. I addressed it with the General Manager.

You want to talk about impressive. He totally corrected the issue and did not stop until I was completely satisfied. I will be doing business with Westway Ford from now on. To know that if there is an issue the owner will take time to talk to you and discuss everything going on.

There are very few places you can go to and actually sit down with the owners of the dealership.

I could not of been more impressed with the way that I was treated at this dealership. I will definitely be doing business at Westway Ford from now on.Thank you for everything Barton Hankins you made your dealership a customer for life.

Original review Jun 28, 2017
WARNING do not do business with Westway Ford in Irving. My truck has been in their shop trying to get warranty work done on it since May 18th. It is now June 27th. If that wasn't bad enough one of their employees decided to use it this past weekend for their personal use and it got impounded at 3:30am Sunday morning. The dealer did not even call to tell me. We got a certified letter this morning saying that my truck was towed from an apartment complex in Irving and the tow company would not give me any information because it was already released to the person that worked for the dealer. I go to the dealer and they know nothing about it and tried to come up with an excuse to why my car was towed from an apartment complex at 3:30am Sunday morning and their employee went and got it out of the impound with his own credit card. The dealer knew nothing about it until I showed up with my certified letter in hand. Their employee handed the receipt over and they still tried to cover it up with excuses that it broke down on a test drive and the tech just left it parked at the apartment complex. I have all the documentation to prove otherwise. They did not want to give me anything and the service manager was arrogant as ***. I ended up walking out of his office and called the police. They showed up and I got all the documentation needed. I asked to speak to the store GM and I was told he is not available. My truck has scratches all over it tons of miles on it from when it was dropped off and then when you demand answers they treat and talk to you like ***. I have filed a complaint with Ford Corporation and waiting to hear back. A month and a half and no repairs done and it gets impounded while in their possession. I will keep everyone posted on where it goes from here but I am going to start looking at legal and media avenues if they don't step up and make it right with me. Had they called and told me they had an employee take my truck and it got impounded I wouldn't be so pissed. The fact they did not tell me and that they then tried to cover it up and treat me like *** is what has me really pissed off right now. Please feel free to share this with everyone so anyone else that we know can avoid dealing with this dealership.

These people will damage your vehicle right in front of your face, admit it, then expect you to pay.

On Monday, June 14th, 2010, our company truck, 2005 Ford F350 began overheating when pulling loaded trailer. The radiator reservoir was still full and after idling for a few moments, engine temperature reduced back to normal. My extensive experience diagnosed problem to be a plugged oil cooler and vehicle driven to North Central Ford whom CONFIRMED radiator was in perfect working condition. Unfortunately they would not be able to work on truck for several days so had to look elsewhere for immediate service. Called Westway Ford and transferred to service advisor, Joe Conyers and told him what I needed to be done. He promised if truck was there in 30 minutes, it would be repaired by lunch the next day. Truck was delivered on schedule and Joe met me in service drive. I again told Joe the oil cooler was plugged and instructed him to replace it along with the oil cooler screen and fuses that control dashboard lights and rear running lights which were not working. He clearly wrote each of my requests on spiral notebook along with my contact information. For several days, Joe never called back nor returned phone calls. On third day when he refused to return calls, I called Service Advisor Director, Larry McLaurin and told him about Joe. Moments later Joe called to inform me that radiator was blown out and would cost $800. I told Joe that I never asked him to check the radiator. It was just serviced and another Ford dealership confirmed the radiator was in perfect working condition on the day it overheated. I again instructed Joe to replace the oil cooler and oil cooler screen. Joe promised the vehicle would be ready before noon the next day, Thursday which he never did so I again called Service Manager, Larry McLaurin. Larry assured me that vehicle would be ready by noon the next day, Friday. In meantime, I was renting comparable vehicle for approx $250/day from Capps Rental. What was supposed to be single day rental had now cost over $1000. Late Friday, I went to pick up vehicle. Oil cooler and oil cooler screen was not repaired but radiator was replaced without authorization! Service Manager Larry McLaurin would not make himself available to speak to me in person. I was told by service cashier I would have to pay invoice in order to drive vehicle. Hours after picking up vehicle, I was ticketed by Dallas Police for non-working running lights. The very lights I instructed Joe to repair. Monday morning, I called Larry to inform him of my ticket and if he went to look at Joe's notebook he would see my instructions to have lights repaired. At this time Larry informed me Joe had been fired for incompetence and failure to complete his job task in this matter. Days following, truck was lightly used but not until Friday did it have a trailer hooked up to it. Within a few miles, secondary fan began turning on and off exactly had it did before Westways repairs. Then white smoke began *** out the tailpipe and you could smell engine coolant. Because the repair I authorized was ignored, the EGR valve and the EGR cooler was now destroyed. Confirmed as well was the $800 radiator NEVER had to be replaced and if it was damaged, it was done so during the unnecessary removal. Vehicle driven back to Westway where I insisted to meet with Larry McLaurin who apologized for Joe ignoring my repair orders and I would be taken care of. A few hours later I was told the oil cooler needed to be replaced as well as the EGR valve and EGR cooler. EXACTLY what I had instructed Joe to repair the week before except for EGR valve and EGR cooler which was only damaged due to Joe's negligence that Westway Ford acknowledged! The estimate was nearly $4000 and they expect me to pay for it. Do they seriously expect a customer to have to pay for one of their "certified service advisor's" incompetent mistakes that they already admitted to and fired an employee for? I emailed Westway Ford's Managing Partner, Barton Hankins and he simply forwards them to others and nothing gets resolved. This dealership now has a history of having an employee damage a vehicle, admit it, fire that employee, then make the customer pay for it. What a joke. Run away from Westway Ford.
